Some learning difficulties stem from listening problems. Practice listening to people and practice being able to understand what they are saying, and repeat it to them. This may seem like a dull exercise, but if it works, use it!

| Read out loud to someone every day. As you practice reading, you will get better at it, and so will your comprehension. |
| Look for patterns in every subject--not only math. There are patterns in spelling words as well as in math. The better you get at reading and writing, the better you will do in school! |
| Help yourself remember things better by drawing pictures of them in your notebook. If you can think of a picture that might help you remember, draw it! |
| Help yourself remember things better by associating them with a song! Sing instructions to the tune of your favorite song--I bet you remember them easier! |
